Libertarian Party of Maryland

2004 Events

January 4 (Sunday): 8:10 - 9:00 am. Nick Sarwark appears on Metro Talk.

January 10 (Saturday): 6:00 pm to midnight. Maryland LP and Montgomery County LP Holiday Party/Potluck Dinner. Libertarians from Maryland and the Washington area, their guests, and those who are interested in meeting libertarians are invited. This event usually draws about 20 to 30 people. Location: Doris Gordon's home (phone 301-460-4141) in Wheaton. Business meeting: There will be a Montgomery County LP business meeting, including selection of MCLP officers. The business meeting is scheduled to go from 7:00-7:30 pm. Pot Luck Dinner: The official pot luck plan is based on the first letter of your last name: A-E Salad or beverage; F-J Appetizers; K-O side dish; P-T entree; U-T dessert. Or you may bring drinks. Paper plates, cups, napkins, and plastic utensils have already been arranged. Based on past experience, we are not likely to be short of food, so please do not feel obligated to bring something if it is inconvenient. Please let know what you are planning to bring to the Pot Luck. Wrapped Gift Blind Auction: If you have one or more new or used items such as interesting books, knick-knacks, curios, etc. to contribute to the blind auction, please wrap them and bring them along. Don't hesitate to bring several items; the more the merrier. We suggest that each package contain an item or items with a total value of $5 or more. The blind auction is fun, whether you bid a little or bid a lot. Bid a little, and you may end up with a bargain. Bid a lot, and you may get a chance to switch with a lower bidder for what you really want. The rules are complicated, so let Dean handle the details, and enjoy.
