We meet at the Ruxton School on Charles Street (right side going south, about 1/2 mile south of I-695). For anyone who needs community service hours, time spent on this project will count toward that requirement. For anyone planning to run for office in this area, putting pictures of yourself on the website being involved in community activity would be a help. If you are planning on helping out, please contact .

The presence of a lot of spectators will remind the court that many people care about this case, and that it is an important case that must be decided carefully and correctly. Please dress appropriately for court, and we insist on NO signs or demonstrations of any kind -- they would only harm our case.

June 25 (Saturday): 9:00 am. The Libertarian Club of Baltimore has adopted a section of Charles Street just south of the Beltway under the MD State Adopt-A-Highway Program. This is an LP publicity / Public Relations project of the Baltimore Area (and some very welcome other) Libertarians. July 4 (Monday): 77th Dundalk Heritage 4th of July Parade. The theme this year is A Star Spangled Town. Anyone have any ideas for how we can use this theme? Line up 7:15 am in the Logan Village Shopping Center on Dundalk Ave. The Libertarians will be meeting at the South end of the parking lot just past the last store. DO NOT park in the area from the middle of the lot to the street. That area is needed to line up the Parade. Park in the area near the stores. Our parade position is Red-3-17. Since they line up in Red, White, Blue sequence, that means we will be in the front section of the parade, finish early and miss the worst of the heat. Looking for someone who is willing to drive their open pickup truck. The MdLP has been in this parade for about the last 10 years. Need a vehicle to carry water, flags, signs, etc. for the marchers and a place to ride for those who cannot walk the whole way.
Fine print: 1. All units of the parade must keep contact with the unit in front of them. The parade must be in continuous movement with NO GAPS created by stopping along the parade route for extended performances. 2. Participants must adhere to the established lineup order and no change is permitted without consent of the Parade Committee Chairman. 3. Nothing can be given out along the Parade Route from curb to curb. (The route is defined as the Baltimore County permitted streets of the parade). This includes leaflets, business cards or the like, and especially no tossing out of candy. 4. All participants are expected to clean up their own debris from the lots and staging areas. (Streets along the route present a massive clean-up operation). Please do not leave litter. The safety of you and the viewers are our paramount concern. 5. NOTICE TO ALL MOTORIZED VEHICLES (CARS, TRUCKS, ATVs, MOTORCYCLES, 4 WHEELERS, etc.) Absolutely NO TRICKS or SHOWS of any kind are to be performed along the Parade Route. The dangers of an accident involving spectators and/or participants are too great to take such a risk. Please be cautious along the Parade route. There will be no warnings. Any violations may result in you or your organization being removed & excluded from future parade participation. 6. Each participant must be at the designated lineup area by 7:15 a.m. and must adhere to the established line-up order.
Directions: From the south - come over the Key bridge and use the first exit immediately after crossing the bridge. Left at the "T" and follow around to Dundalk Ave exit. Right on Dundalk Ave. Go all the way to the end of the parking lot before you try to turn in. The later you show up, the harder it's going to be to fight the traffic. This parade draws a CROWD! From the north - I-695 to Eastern Ave (toward the city) to Dundalk Ave (left turn) to Logan Village Shopping Center. Please let me know if you are planning to be there. On the day of the parade I'll have my cell phone with me. Contact: .

July 12 (Tuesday): 7:00 pm. MdLP Executive Board meeting in Owings Mills. Contact  to attend.

July 16 (Saturday): 3:00 pm. Libertarian Party of Baltimore (City and County combined) meeting to nominate candidates for Baltimore City Council in a meeting at Rosedale Public Library (Baltimore County), 6105 Kenwood Avenue, Rosedale, Maryland 21237-2097 (for directions from Towson, call 410-887-0512, option 3). Contact: .

August 13 (Saturday): 2:00 pm. MdLP picnic and Central Committee meeting) at 16 Partridge Lane, North East, MD 21901 (Dave Sten’s home). CC meeting will begin at 4 pm. The Stens will provide and prepare all the food and beverages, including hamburgers, hot dogs, potato and macaroni salad, soda, juice, water, and beer. The cost is only $10. There will be areas set up for horseshoes and volleyball, and there will be a canoe available. Anyone who wishes to camp out overnight may do so. Bring folding chairs. Directions: take North I-95 to exit 100 (North East). Merge onto Route 272 South toward North East and U.S. 40. Continue south on 272 about 2.4 miles to the U.S. 40 intersection, and continue south on 272 (Main Street) through the town of North East. On the other side of town Main Street becomes 272 South and is a two-way road. Continue south for another 5.5 miles. Turn left onto Elk River Lane. (Note: You will notice that Elk River Lane is near when the shoulder of the road disappears and the speed limit changes from 50 mph to 40 mph.) Travel 0.6 miles and then turn right onto Elk River Lane (Elk River Lane is a dirt lane. Dave will make sure that signs directing people to the picnic will be visible.) Follow Elk River Lane for 0.4 miles, and turn right onto Partridge Lane. (There is a row of about 20 mailboxes at the turn for Partridge Lane.) Travel a few hundred feet to Dave’s house (small blue cottage on the left). Turn into his driveway, and continue through the grass along the line of trees – the location is at the bottom of the hill. (Note: $5.00 toll on I-95 and Route 40 northbound, but free southbound on both. No toll on Route 1.) Contact: .

September 10-11 (Saturday-Sunday): MdLP booth at the Reisterstown Festival on Saturday and Sunday. It all happens along Reisterstown Road, a.k.a. Main Street, a.k.a. MD 140. If you think you can put in some time, please contact us. The park is at 12035 Reisterstown Road. You can get there by making a right off Reisterstown Road (MD 140) at either Hannah More Lane or Academy Lane. Our booth is #71 in Area 2, the northern part of the park. If you are just coming for the booth -- between 11 am and 6 pm on Saturday, or noon - 5 pm on Sunday, you will need to park at Reisterstown Elementary School, 223 Walgrove Road and walk to the park using the well worn foot paths. You get to Reisterstown Elementary School by turning right on Walgrove Road, PAST Hannah More Park and School. I know it's a lot more convenient to just show up whenever you feel like it (or not, if you don't), but I need to know who I can count on. Please make a commitment for a specific 2-3 hour period and let me know. Contact: .

September 18 (Sunday): 10:00am - 6:00 pm. Essex Day Festival. Meet candidates. Setup is 7:30-8:00 am and breakdown is at 7:00 pm. Weather is supposed to be GREAT and this one always draws a big crowd. If you are running for office anywhere from Towson East, some of your constituents will be there. Candidate or not, we can use your help in collecting signatures, handing out lit, getting people to take the quiz, and generally showing people they DO have another choice. The festival is held on the 4000 and 500 blocks of Eastern Blvd in Essex. From the Baltimore beltway, I-695, take the Eastern Blvd exit going East, away from Baltimore. When you come to the road block, turn right for one block, then turn left to parallel Eastern Blvd. About one mile later you'll come to the Post Office at Taylor Ave. There are large (free) parking lots on both sides of Taylor. Walk up Taylor to Eastern. Locations of the booths won't be set until the day of the festival; but we are usually in that first block to the left of Taylor. If you have trouble finding the booth call me on my cell. If you are planning to help out, please let me know by e-mail or phone. Contact .

September 26 (Monday): 7:00 pm. MdLP Executive Board meeting via teleconference. Contact  to attend.

October 1/2 (Saturday/Sunday): 11:00 am - 7:00 pm. Fells Point Fun Festival. Meet candidates. I believe the Libertarian Party has had a booth there continuously for 18 years. Let's make this the best one ever! The LP booth will be in the same place as last year: #623 on Broadway, on the west side of the Broadway Market, between Lancaster and Aliceanna Streets. Street parking is hard to come by; but there are two new parking garages in the 800 & 900 blocks of Caroline St. (see map) just 4 blocks West of Broadway. The festival runs from 11 AM to 7 PM both days; but the instructions say we must be completely set up and ready for customers by 9:45 AM each day. (Don't ask.) Need help both days, all hours. CAN YOU HELP? WHEN? Please contact if you can put in some time at the booth. I especially would love it if you could assist loading up the car over at our storage shed in Dundalk and setting up on Saturday morning.
